Dogsledding

There are four 1/4 mile rides per 30 minute time slot. All time slots are currently full. If there are any no shows, or we run ahead of schedule, we may be able to add a few rides to the day.  Please inquire about availability upon check in.


Please meet at the Citizen Science Center/Wildlands Building a few minutes prior to the start of your reserved timeslot.  There will be activities in the CSC building while you wait.

Parking

Parking will be available at the Youth Camp (North Campus, north side of Highway K).  Please follow the signs.  We ask people NOT to park on the highway for safety reasons.

Cross-Country Skiing

Cross Country Skiing will take place at the Main Lodge on the North Campus.  Scheels experts and volunteers will be onsite to help you fit equipment and provide basic instructions.  See map above for trails. Skiis and boots are available in a most sizes, and are on a first come, first serve basis.

Snowshoeing & Candlelight Snowshoe Hike

Snowshoeing and the Candlelight Snowshoe Hike will both take place on the south trails at the Wise Nature Center. Snowshoes are available on a first come first serve basis.  Feel free to bring your own shoes if you have them.  

Seminar Schedule

2:30 - 3:00 p.m. - Gardening Basics (intended for adults)
3:15 - 3:45 p.m. - Special visit from a BCR live critter with Naturalist, Ruth Forsgren (kid friendly)
4:00 - 4:30 p.m. - Bird ID for Beginners (Adults and older school-aged children)
4:45 - 5:30 p.m - Special Visit from a BCR live critter with Naturalist, Ruth Forsgren (kid friendly)

Craft Projects

Upcycle a coffee mug into a fun bird feeder. Thanks to Hope Gospel Mission for donating the mugs! Intended for ALL ages!

Kids, still need a valentine for mom or dad? Come make a "Wild" Valentine for that special someone.  Craft uses basic cutting and glueing skills.  

Food and Beverages

Hot chocolate, coffee and water will be available at the Citizen Science Center, Main Lodge and the Nature Center.  Popcorn will be available at the Main Lodge and Nature Center.  Gordos Food Truck will be on hand with walking tacos outside of the Nature Center.

Tickets

Purchase tickets online or the day of the event.  Check in at either the Citizen Science Center or the Nature Center to receive your commemorative zipper pull spojsored by Northwestern Bank!

Nonmembers: Adults $12, Kids $7
Admission includes all activities (except dogsledding), equipment rentals, crafts, snacks and presentations.
