Weekly Bird Banding

Weekly Bird Banding

October 27th, 2026 | 9:00 am - 11:00 am | Beaver Creek Reserve | Location: Fall Creek, Wisconsin

Beaver Creek Reserve’s Bird Banders have been studying birds through banding for 30 years. Join us during one of our weekly banding sessions to observe the process firsthand and talk with the banders themselves.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn how and why birds are banded, explore bird identification, discover the types of data collected, and see some of our feathered visitors up close. Whether you’re new to birding or an experienced birder, you’re welcome to stop by and learn more about this long-running citizen science project.
Please note: Bird banding is weather dependent. We encourage you to contact Beaver Creek Reserve before your visit to confirm that banding will be taking place that day.

Ages: All Ages! Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Cost: FREE
Location: Woodland Room at Beaver Creek Reserve.
