Earth Day Every Day

Celebrating Earth Day All. Month. Long!

“Earth Day Every Day” encourages local community members to engage in sustainable and environmentally focused activities throughout the Chippewa Valley to not only improve our immediate local environment, but to learn about eco-friendly resources and actions in our community.

Since 2019, we had over 400 teams participate in our annual Earth Week Challenge, but we wanted to do more and make “Earth Day” a community-wide effort. We've reevaluated the Challenge to encourage individuals and families to participate in hands-on activities within their community for the entire month of April!

To include more community events, we decided to expand our Earth Week and celebrate Earth Day all month long! Our new campaign called “Earth Day Every Day” promotes community events, Beaver Creek programs, and long-term sustainability in the Chippewa Valley. Teams will no longer be submitting completed challenge tasks for points, but instead attending events for raffle prizes. We will still be hosting Earth Week as a designated week leading up to Earth Day to encourage visiting local county and state parks, and to participate in our countdown to Earth Day photo contest. Then we’ll finish the week with our Earth Day Walk (see below)!

How it works:

Step 1:  Check out our list of activities going on the month of April.

Step 2: Register for the events that peak your interest! Most events have registration deadlines, so be sure to sign up before it’s too late.

Step 3: Attend the events! Participants will get put into drawings at the end of each event for raffle prizes. Prizes include: gift cards to local stores, Beaver Creek memberships and discounts to our store, Triple Play memberships (a membership to Beaver Creek Resrve, the Children’s Museum of Eau Claire, and the Chippewa Valley Museum), and more!

Step 4: Participate in our Earth Week Photo Contest! See below for more details.

Step 5: Learn about other ways you can be green! Check out other sustainable initiatives you can intergrate into your daily lifestyle.

Step 6: Have fun! Sustainability is important – for a healthy community, clean air, available natural resources, and an overall green environment. Supporting our planet should be simple and fun!

Winners of raffle prizes will be announced following each program.

*By participating in Earth Day Every Day, all photos shared with us via social media or through our photo contest (see below) website will be used for marketing efforts related to Earth Day (please do not select "Please Share" if you don't want your photos shared publically).
